Find quick answers to the most common inquiries about our premium chauffeur services.
Where does sChauffeurs operate?
What is a chauffeured service?
A chauffeured service is a premium transport experience that includes a professional driver (chauffeur) operating a private vehicle — such as a sedan, premium sedan, premium SUV, or premium minivan — tailored to your itinerary or destination needs.
At sChauffeurs, this means more than just a ride. It’s a seamless, stress-free journey designed for airport transfers, corporate travel, events, roadshows, or special occasions — all delivered with discretion, comfort, and personalized attention.

💬 What information do I need to provide when booking?
Typically, you’ll need to share:
Date and time: When you need the service.
Pick-up location: Where the driver should meet you.
Itinerary: If applicable with all stops and meeting times.
Drop-off location: Your final destination.
Duration: How long you’ll need the vehicle (e.g., one-way trip or hourly rental).
Passenger count: How many people will be traveling.
Passenger information: Full name, contact number, (preferences)
Special requests: Things like child seats, extra luggage space, or specific vehicle preferences (e.g., premium sedan vs. premium minivan).
💬 Is our personal data secure with sChauffeurs?
Yes. sChauffeurs does not share or supply your personal data to any third party, other than the minimum necessary to process a reservation (Name, Mobile number etc.). All data is stored on secure servers.
sChauffeurs is a PCI DSS compliant company and signatory to the Data Protection Act. Our systems are regularly monitored by Security Partners in accordance with the requirements of the PCI Security Standards.
💬 Can I request a specific driver?
While we cannot guarantee specific drivers, we strive to accommodate all special requests whenever possible.
💬 Do sChauffeurs drivers speak English?
Yes — but the level of English fluency depends on the service type.
For roadshows, hourly hire, or any service where direct communication is essential, we guarantee an English-speaking chauffeur.
🧳 Conferences & Events
For large-scale events such as conferences or summits, particularly during high-volume airport transfers, it’s not always possible to guarantee that every chauffeur will speak fluent English. However, all drivers are fully briefed and equipped with the information they need to perform their duties smoothly and professionally.
Given the fast-paced nature of such events, we do not claim that every chauffeur will be bilingual. That said, most are able to communicate in English, and we always assign a dedicated on-site coordinator at key pick-up points to assist passengers and manage any enquiries.
💬 Which vehicles do you use?
💬 Why do you quote in overseas currencies?
We provide initial quotations in the local currency of the country where the service will be delivered. If needed, we’re happy to offer an estimated equivalent in your preferred currency, based on the current exchange rate at the time of quoting.
However, as our international affiliates charge us in their local currencies upon service completion, and because exchange rates can fluctuate, we cannot guarantee the final converted amount. Therefore, your invoice will reflect the original local currency rate, which remains fixed, rather than any speculative converted amount.
💬 Can we select our preferred currency for invoicing?
Yes — with some important distinctions.
We accept credit card payments in USD ($), GBP (£), Swiss Francs (CHF), and Euros (€). The charge will be applied in one of these currencies depending on the location of service. If the local currency is not one of the above, it will be converted to CHF, USD, GBP, or EUR.
Account customers paying by credit card may also choose their preferred currency for invoicing.
However, for bank transfers, all payments must be made in Swiss Francs (CHF) — we do not accept other currencies via bank transfer, and payments must not be converted prior to transfer.
This structure ensures clarity, consistency, and avoids discrepancies due to exchange rate fluctuations.
💬 What is sChauffeurs cancellation policy?
💬 Do you charge waiting time if the flight is delayed?
Not normally. As with cancellations, our policy is to avoid applying penalty charges whenever possible.
Charging for waiting time due to flight delays is extremely rare — particularly with long-haul flights, where we typically receive advance notice and can adjust our scheduling.
However, short-haul flights and train journeys present more challenges, as updates may not appear until the flight is airborne, by which time the chauffeur may already be en route.
If you’re aware of any delay, we greatly appreciate you letting us know — it can help us avoid unnecessary charges.
🕒 Important (Switzerland-specific):
In Switzerland, we include 30 minutes of complimentary waiting time for airport pickups. After that, waiting time charges may apply, primarily due to high airport parking fees and driver standby costs.
We always aim to be understanding and fair in how we apply these charges.
💬 When will we be invoiced?
A service completion report with final updates and pricing is sent within 24 hours after the service. Following that, the invoice is prepared — in most cases, it’s ready within 48 hours of service completion.
All clients — whether paying by credit card or via an account — will receive a PDF invoice by email.
Please note: We do not send invoices by postal mail.
💬 Are gratuities included in quotations | price?
In North America, Latin America, and Asia, chauffeur gratuities are automatically included in the final charge — there’s no need to tip separately.
In Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions, gratuities are discretionary. If you’d like to thank your chauffeur for exceptional service, you’re welcome to do so directly, or we can include it in your final invoice upon request.
